About Us
One whose spouse has two jobs.
Don't Rush is about challenging preconceptions. We anticipate that a successful musician of the future will be one who has an internet connection. As it stands, an industry still largely based on word-of-mouth and hand-delivered letters from the King no longer fills the needs of musicians today. As the rest of the world is adapting to life on the internet, we think it’s high time that we provide incentive for musicians to jump on board, and thrive from the instant exchange of useful information.
We know that musicians love free things, and as a free-for-all service Don't Rush has been created with the lesser-known orchestras and ensembles in mind - those who don’t necessarily have the resources for extensive advertising. More work attracts more musicians, increasing the scope of interesting and varied musicial projects. Who knows, perhaps classical music can finally claim the respect it deserves as a meaningful career option!
Having all the jobs in one place with easy search facilities (designed with musicians in mind), we hope to make the tortured artist’s life that little bit simpler. With all the time and energy saved searching for job opportunities, more of it can be spent on what we do best - practicing excerpts; or gathering receipts. For tax purposes.
